Hello again guys. I've stopped work on this one. It says 90mm but is big and nearer to 100mm. I wasn't a fan of the face, but stuck with it. However this is one of those rare figure where the face is not the focal point - it's more the shield. So I always really regarded this as an exercise in painting a Roman shield really. Any comments, please do feel free.

Excellent job and I really like this figure but as you say, the face isn't sculpted to the same standard as the rest of the piece which is surprising for Viktor Konnev who sculpted this piece. I have thought about doing this figure myself and swapping the head and helmet for the Andrea 90mm Centurion's one (I have a spare) one which is MUCH better IMHO.

Exactly. I've got to be honest and say the face is awful on this kit, even before I vandalised it with my brush. There are two saving graces with this kit. 1. The helmet and cheek guards obscure the face a bit and 2. Make sure the shield diverts attention away!
