The Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort's Own) was an infantry rifle regiment of the British Army formed in January 1800 as the "Experimental Corps of Riflemen" to provide sharpshooters, scouts, and skirmishers. They were soon renamed the "Rifle Corps". In January 1803, they became an established regular regiment and were titled the 95th Regiment of Foot (Rifles). In 1816, at the end of the Napoleonic Wars, they were again renamed, this time as the "Rifle Brigade". So, this is my version of the large bust released by Mitches military models, inspired by the famous Richard Sharpe, painted with oils over enamels. So, here he is a gentleman in his formal uniform, a young and proud officer of a glorious age and prestitious army unit...
Any comment is very welcome ! :)

Lovely paint job on a nice bust.

I feel the sculptor has not quite got the likeness to Sean Bean, close but not quite there.

Great painting , love the green . what was your base colour.? As I also under coat in enamels . Just about to start mine.
Thinking about changing the head , as I did Verlindens bust years ago.

Barrie, sorry, I cannot recall the exact colour mix for the green, because I have not a standard way to make the colours.
Usually, I add some blue into the dark green. Then, when working with oils, for the shadows I add some violet.
