This is Revell's 1/24 scale Commercial Land Rover Series 3 kit heavily modified to represent the 1965 built Series II vehicle used in Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's Cook On The Wild Side Channel 4 program from 1995. His "Gastrowagon" featured a complete kitchen in the back, and had a boat-come-sleeping bunk on top. The figure representing the celebrity chef is a Master Box 1/24 scale example from their trucker series.
Cheers,
Gary

Hi Gary

Great to see the completed piece , like the gastrowagon , nice details you’ve added including the sausages and eggs

HFW looks the business and very much like him

Look very build on the wagon , like the subtle weathering

Good to see the steps you’ve done on the Figure here https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/a-cook-on-the-wild-side-hugh-fearnley-wittingstall.644181/

Thanks for sharing , do consider the competitions we are having

Look forward to seeing more from you

Happy benchtime or should that be cooking

Thanks Kevin - and thanks also for adding the build link for the figure. It was a very ambitious project and at times I'd thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew!
Cheers,
Gary

Wow, just wow. The conversion and finish of the Landy is superb, the detail is outstanding. The figure sets it of perfectly.

Clever work, Gary...........wonderfully imaginative and masterfully produced. Bravo !
What inspired the idea?....surely not the Nettle soup or the Badger steaks....:)

Mike

Thanks for the kind words Mike. My wife is an avid cook, and we have become big fans of HFW's old cooking shows after only recently discovering them (We live in Canada). On a whim I suggested buying a Land Rover model and make an attempt at building the Gastrowagon. It ended up being a very ambitious project involving a friend of mine making some 3D printed parts, etc. Now if only I could get the ingredients over here for some delicious nettle soup.....;)
