A Navy Seal bust 200mm

I have been blessed with a gift from a very dear person; a 200mm bust of a US Navy Seal. Can you help however?

The gun is quite bent, and I am unsure on how best to proceed. I have not known the person very long, but wish to do the best I can for the memory of their dear Father; who once owned the unbuilt bust. There are other problems with the bust, but generally I feel confident I can take care of them. Other than the gun that is which clearly is a core part.

Hot, hot water. Run it under and then take it out and hold it to the proper shape until cool.

Other option is to remove the resin barrel and replace with suitable gauge of metal rod/tube, will also help in preventing future breakages if accidently knocked.
