Hello to all the great people of this forum.

I'm new in a forum like this one and also excited being here. I read endless hours your posts and i have to say that they've been a great sourse of information and inspiration. I'm back to figures after 5 years that i left the scene (studying abroad is always hard), but the virus of figures never actually left me. So here i am again starting all over. I used to use oils and enamels for my figure painting and i have to say that i got to a really good point. A few days i go i went to buy the oils that i usually work with, and unfortunatelly they didn't have W&N ones. So i bought oils from a company called Maimeri. I don't know this company, so i'm here seeking some feedback from the experts here. I'm very picky with everything that i'm doing, so i really want to work with the best stuff possible.

I hope to get an answer and i'm sure we will meet again in a post. I also hope that i will have pics of my progress as soon as i can. Thanks all a lot in advance.

Welcome to the planet Xenofon. I also use enamels and tube oils and haven't had to look for another brand as yet. My art supplier still had some W&N oils on hand. I hope we see some of your work posted soon and as always.....please feel free to ask any of us questions if they arise.

Maimeri has 2 or 3 (I think :) ) brands of oil paint. I have a couple of both the classico and puro. Their overall consistency is better (?) than the generic WN. They seem to be more "buttery"

Do I see any huge difference in the quality of my painting? No. Probably not but that may be me. :)

Hopefully, Einion Rees can chime in here as he is a real oil quality guy!

Maimeri Puro is one of the top lines of oil paints. The colors are consistantly of good quality. I use them all the time.

Thanks for all your help guys. I guess i will have to try them first (still waiting for my working bench) and the give them credit or not. I guess that there will be no problems at all. Thanks again.
