Personally I've found the web sites The Long, Long Trail and the Great War Forum invaluable in doing research for models. The wealth of information is phenomenal. You may have missed Chris Baker's request for donations to support the web sites. They are both funded by donation. If you've not been to the sites and would like to check them out....

Dan, Though I rarely visit many WW1 sites, it does bring to our attention that these "free" sites we go to are funded by someone and in a lot of cases are far from simple webpages.~Gary
