Hi All,
I would like to share some news with you all.:) Some of you may know I have a passion for the Zulu War:D and it has always been my intention to make a Zulu war piece and sell this this to raise funds as a charitable donation for the Brecon museum.

Unfortunately things always seem to have gotten in the way of this, usually new projects. Anyway someone saw my Lancer, which is in my vbench, and whilst I know I'm only an average painter and freely admit this, I was made an offer I could not let pass me by.

Today I rang Bill at the museum and have made arrangements with him to gift aid my donation from the sale of the Lancer. He has sat proudly in my cabinet for sometime and I will miss him:( but I can always make another one in the future:woot::). It was for the greater good of helping preserve the R.R.W. Museum and their ties to the Anglo-Zulu war that drove this.

Therefore I feel extremely proud that someone loved him and honoured I can donate £625 to Bill and the Brecom museum.

cheers
Richie

Nice one Richie, good to know the Lancer has gone to someone who obviously appreciates it and that you can help the museum.

Have to agree with Steve though, Brecon would look much better levelled and turned into a car park or something.

Isn't yomping a civilian form of tabbing ?

All the best
Steve

Hi Mark,
Thanks, we are today's guardians of history for the future generations that's the way I look at. It was a major conversion/build by me mate, it's not a stock item.

Outstanding Mark and a great boost to the RRW museum, lovely little place.

Brecon is a wonderful place and should be enjoyed. I actually thought the thread would be about a New Beacon!
Perhaps if you guys Yomped instead of taking little tiny Tabbing steps like a rabbit, you would have more time to enjoy the beauty of the Beacons!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done Richie,

That's some serious monkey business and something you should be rightfully proud of. It's great to be able to help people by doing something you love.

Hi Tony,
Thanks mate, you are right its something I love, so it was no hardship for me to helpout in my own little way. I've just got to keep my second promise now and that was volunteer my time for a few days so I can go and help out in the museum, I've volunteered the wife's typing and tea making skils too.:)
cheers
