I anxiously awaited this bust to come in the mail and today it arrived. I was curious as to how Young did the helmet and head. You will see below in this review how he mastered a one piece helmet fitting to the head.

The kit arrrived with the parts sandwiched between 4 layers of foam in Young's traditional heavy cardboard black box. The new clear plastic slip cover is used to keep the box closed after examination. The kit is comprised of 11 parts. A brass ring along with a short length of copper wire and a brass etched name plate are the metal components and the remaining are cast in a light yellow resin.

Above is the main part, the torso, which is loaded with detail, both front and rear. A small hole is on the rear for the shield to be fastened to.

Above is the sequence of fitting the head to the torso and the helmet to the head. Excellent fit with all 3 parts.

Above are the front and rear views of the shield. A tremendous amount of detail sculpted into the shield. On the back you see one ring already sculpted to the shield and the small brass ring provided goes on the other post.

Above are pictured the helmet crest, sword and shield bracket.

On the left you see the optional resin base that can be used in place of a wooden base if desired.

Very nice stuff! I really like the details on the shield and sword. I really appreciate the likeness to the movie character once it's all put together!
