Achilles has finally caught up with Hector.
My attempt at this oldie from Young Miniatures.
Paints are my usual mixture of whatever seems to achieve the effect I'm after.
Apologies for one or two of the photos which appear a little overexposed.

and finally, both together.

Hi Andrew

Fair play that's nicely painted , did you stipple on the armour ?

They look really good together ...personally as a bust I prefer Hector for the armour details

Always good to see your artwork

Why not enter something in the class of your choice in FOTM , don't forget we also have the Vignette & Diorama comp , please take the time to consider and also do vote as well

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to the next thread

Happy benchtime

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for looking, and taking the time to comment.
You're right in that Hector's armour is somewhat 'busy'.
It probably is more amenable to hiding flaws in the painting.
There's nowhere to hide with Achilles' armour.
When I thought I'd finished, I realised that there was very little evidence that the armour was bronze.
So, yes, there was some very gentle scuffing with an almost dry brush to bring out some detail.
Then, since it all looked a trifle matt, I applied a thinned Humbrol satin coat over all the armour to get a bit of a sheen.

Cheers,
Andrew
