Can Vinilic colors be mixed with acrylics ?
Based with different mediums, are there substantial differences in terms of durability, stability etc between them ?

Mix vinyl paints with acrylics? I'm curious to read the answers. My gut feeling is no, but I'm no chemist. Well, not beyond AP Chemistry, anyway.
I do know that the question must be clarified by noting that not all acrylics are the same, that it doesn't mean "water-based". So the chemistry of the acrylic binder can play a role in the mixture, certainly.
Or maybe it is just, "No", regardless of the type of acrylic.
Let's hear what the rest of the Planet says...

Prost!

Eager to know from the experts myself too. Question came to me because I tested some vinilics and, besides being in tubes, and expensive, they produce a perfectly matt finish, but before buying I had to clear doubts about compatibility with acrylics, which I'd guess they are not

Are you talking about Maimeri polycolor paints ? These are PVA paints. So yes you can paint figures with them and layer acrylic paints under or over them without any problems. However, I do not suggest mixing polycolor with acrylic paints since the binder is not the same. Hope this helps.

Yes, they're the ones I tested, fine pigments and matt finish but since the binder is different I was doubtful whether mixing with acrylics.
Thanks a lot, very helpful
