I am painting a Union Civil War soldier and was hoping someone could tell me what acrylic colors they use for base, highlights and darks for a Union soldier trousers (sky blue) Thanks!

Reaper has a Sky Blue that's pretty nice. It's part of a triad with two darker blues. Use white to lighten. You could tone the base SD down some with a bit of their Misty Gray. Worked for me on a 30mm ACW flat.

Cheers,

Glen

Which Triad is it ? I am in a similar situation and am a slave to Reaper's triads

I've used a mix of Andrea Union Blue and Prussian Blue for that figure. I've highlighted with a Light blue and shadowed with a mix of Prussian Blue and Black.

I think you should highlight with a light bleu instead of white. It give a better blue.
