Hi Guys,

Another that has made the journey to the display cabinet is this one , originally from our very own chimp Richie's range 1879 Miniatures , picked this up at FW , liked the idea of a naval chap but had references for the ACW including original caps and the arm badge .
Lengthened the scarf and neck piece at the back , put a PO whistle in his pocket and reworked the cap to the ACW style.
All stars are handpainted as is the capband .
Bit of a challenge trying to do the "dirty" white ...painted him looking to the left ...as usual it looks a lot better in the flesh!!!

Thanks to Richie for sculpting the original , his range are well worth looking at.

Cheers for looking in

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the comments ...you are right Ralph the stripes and stars were interesting to say the least involving me holding my breath!

Went for a dirty looking white rather than pristine

Thanks for looking in

Nice adjustments and very neat painting Kev.
Painting the badge on the left arm must have been a nice alternative to medals.

Cheers,
Andrew
