This bust has been another pleasure to paint. Although my skills have not brought out the best in it, I know there are going to be some excellent painted versions on here in the future. All the busts from Sarnia Miniatures represent excelent value for money and are well worth a look at, I have another two to work on, one just started.

The head is exclusively W&N Artisan water soluble oil over an acrylic primer. The torso is all acrylic, mainly AK interactive from their figure range.

Thanks for sharing

Many thanks Kev. It has taken me a long time to get the confidence to do things like this and I know I still have a long way to go but it is the best feeling knowing I am, at last, fulfilling my desire to paint busts and figures.

I think I am a way off entering FOTM yet but I will one day :)

I think you should be very pleased with that Graham, you've done a good job.
"This bust has been another pleasure to paint."
And that is exactly what it's all about, as long as you keep enjoying painting you will keep improving and you've already reached a good standard. Keep it up.

Many thanks Roger. At one time I didn’t think I would get this far but I have found that just doing it for the fun of it, plus actually painting and not reading about it, has opened it up for me. Of course, it helps having a good well sculpted piece to work on and for £20 each, these are amazing. Already blocking the flesh in on the next one :)
