Hello guys,

Sometimes one has to do something different...!

Here's my WIP from a beautiful picture found on the net, 1:16th scale. Self sculp, with the help of a couple of resin parts...
Thanks for looking.

Hi Erik

Happy to be corrected but isn’t this available as a casting , thought I saw something on FB ?

Will certainly look beautiful and very moving

Yes, now it is...! Think we had the same idea at the same time...
Difference is that mine is self sculpted and the other commercial is 3d printed (correct if wrong...) and mine is 1:16th scale to 180mm (1:10?)...
Oh well, 2 modelling freaks have the same idea.... ;-)
Having fun with this one!!

Cheers

Thanks guys!

Project on a short hold, due to other commitments...
Will work on this further soon.
Eager to paint this one, not only the girrafe, which is going to be tough, but also the African skin! All new for me! Can't wait...!

This is coming on nicely.
I had the opportunity to feed a giraffe during a visit to Colchester zoo, great experience.
