On October 25, 1854, the Battle of Balaklava took place, also known for the charge of the 600, or the Light Brigade.
This scene is a tribute to those men who carried out their orders over and above the enormous challenge of tackling the Russian lines without any support.
Like all of us who were born between the 50s and 70s of the last century, the 1936 film "The Charge of the Light Brigade", starring the unforgettable Errol Flynn, took us to that remote land and made us ride with the 600.

Go our tribute to all of them.
Note: The scene are based in the movie of 1936 starred by Errol Flynn.
My intention is play the scene detailed below:

I am sorry to spoil this very nice advertisement for a scene of an inspiring Hollywood production with some links to the real story of the event.

MESSAGE TO JOSE`: It is not encouraging and even enraging to read about your next release on this forum while customers that paid for your previous release (The Warband) months ago are still waiting for the products to arrive while you make one futile promise after another about current problems to deliver the kits.
If you carry on to do so your reputation as a reliable salesman will be in tatters.

It would be great to learn here in public on this forum what kept you from shipping the kits paid for long ago while you produced another new release that is tagged as "available now" above.

Everyone reading this: be warned - "available now" does not mean that you get your kits in a reasonable time from this seller according to my experience so far. (Order #1183: paid for on April 15th - beside promises and excuses no delivery until now)

First of all, I ask your forgiveness for the delay in the delivery of your order, once again, as you say you made your order in April, order 1183. I received in April, after a delay from my producer of 3 months, the figures that he had to deliver to those who had bought the Warband in December and January. There were multiple reasons for the delay in production but this is not the place to name them. When you head a project, as is my case, he has to accept the mistakes and consequences of those who work for you. I'm not going to blame anybody for the delays, I'll take it on myself.

When you place the order in April we are solving the production of more units in order to satisfy the demand, producing 7 pieces at the same time is very yyyy complicated. More for a small company like mine, anyone who is in this business will know how enormously difficult it is to produce figures in resin.
The only ones who seem to have no problems are the pirates.

When we found a company that assumed the production of the units that were yet to be delivered, they did not guarantee deadlines, but they were going to do their best to deliver the figures early.
The Balaklava cavalry scene has been modeled and printed in 3D since January, it has not been removed until now for the same reason, because there was no one to produce it. I wrote a mass email to all my clients subscribed to the mailing list that between July 25 and July 31 all the missing units of the Warband were going to be sent.

Before your request there were 1,182 more, if you really believe that I am here to mislead people and take advantage of their trust, I think I would not have gone that far. And if I wanted to scam people, I would sell something else, not collectibles.

Postscript: When I bought my last vehicle, an Audi, the delivery time went from 3 months to 8 months due to a production problem. I had paid 50 percent of the vehicle in advance.
It never occurred to me that the Audi did not want to hand over the vehicle to me.
I also understand that Audi generates a confidence that Semper Fidelis Miniatures does not yet give. We will work on it.
If you are so unhappy with the service, we will refund your money and the figures will be sent to you when they arrive. It is all I can do.

Affectionately.

Hope the commercial mishaps get solved ‘cause this scene is wonderfully dynamic and I will certainly buy it. Lots of modellers I know in my Association (Alfa Model Roma) have been purchasing pieces from Semper Fidelis and always been extremely satisfied.

In one case I am aware of, a wrong piece shipped was replaced at no shipping cost nor request of sending the first one back.....so for what’s worth, I feel like reassuring Martin that his story will end up for the best!!!!

For me, I am going to the website to buy this!!

Hi Jose`,
thank you for claryfying this somewhat irritating new promotional thread and the circumstances of current problems with delivery.
Your last post about these problems is dated on this forum from March 19th https://www.planetfigure.com/thread...knights-of-outremer-the-warband.290169/page-4 - I am not saying that I am unhappy with your service as I have until now not received any of your products. Your way to keep customers informed about delays etc. is clearly a disaster. You definitely should consider changes.
Your products look very nice and therefore it would be sad to see your reputation suffer from the breakdown of communication.

Cheers, Martin

I can only speak for myself, but I've dealt with Jose directly in the past and have found him to be both trustworthy and reliable.

We've had dodgy dealers on here before (two names spring immediately to mind), but Semper Fidelis isn't one of them.

Excellent new release by this small but inovative brand.Adding my two cents of worth of opinion to the argument above I have only nice things to say about Jose and his customer service.based on my experience. In our hobby world problems like this often present themslves but through discussion and with mutual understanding they can easily be solved.I am very glad to see that both parties are on this path.Perfect gentlemen both of you Jose and Martin64

Oda.

Hi Jose

Nice to see another release , wish you all success with it .

.....interesting you chose to depict a scene from the film .....I also think this would work well with the ground figure stretching out his arm rather than holding the flag .....possible conversion idea

Hope we might see a painted version as well

Thanks for sharing
