This is a gorgeous release.Having treated a few of vladimir Sychev's 3D sculpts I can tell that the detail on this is as Gary said trully phenomenal.Well done Altores.

I just ordered the Archbishop of Cologne and Trier in 75mm. What a wonderful figure this is!!
I live close by Cologne, so this is a very interesting historical figure for me. I think it shows Kuno II. von Falkenstein, who was archbishop in Trier and Cologne at that time (1366–1370 Administrator of the Archdiocese of Cologne, title: Koadjutor; 1362–1388 Archbishop of Trier).
During my research I found the following:
A picture of the beautiful helmet of the Bishop of Trier:

The outstandingly pronounced bishop's crosier can be found in the ‘Schatzkammer’ of Cologne Cathedral. It was probably made in 1322:

The alternative tip of the bishop's crosier, the cross, was probably made in 1220 (Schatzkammer Kölner Dom):

The sword can be seen as the official insignia of the Cologne bishops as electors of the Holy Roman Empire. The sword shown was made around 1480 (Schatzkammer Kölner Dom):

Maybe someone has more information about this bishop's clothing (colors). I think it should be mainly red….

3D sculpting and top level casing is becoming the new standard, anything less will eventually fall by the wayside when it comes to subjects like this which has a level of detail almost impossible to replicate with traditional sculpting, which of course will still have its place.

The detail on this is outstanding and hopefully the casting will do it justice. I'm assuming this is a 3D print in the headline picture?

Thanks for the detailed pictures Michael.

Was also an instant purchase for me, along with their German Infantryman, Gothic Knight and Minnesänger. Very excited about these Holy Roman Empire-themed releases by Altores.
