This is one hell of a beautifully sculpted figure, so I thought i'd buy it and paint it.

I followed the boxart paintjob, 'cos these were the ultimate classic colours used for anythin' ancient british. The Green or Dark Green with the Dark red jus' works so effectively.

For the groundwork i'd thought i'd show a standin' stone or 'menhir' as they're called. The stone came from my backyard and I thought really looks the part, scale an' all. I used two lengths of static grass (2mm/ 5mm) one dark Green and the other Spring Green, these were then mixed and applied.

I hope you guys like it.

I have to agree. This one has been on my "to do" list for some time.

Very well done piece, Paul. I like the pattern and highs and shades on the trousers.

How did you do the mail?

Keith

Cheers Chris, cheers Keith.

Keith, I always undercoat my figures Matt Black, then when it comes to paintin' the mail I start by applyin' a very very dark Gunmetal, and for that I always use Boltgun Metal mixed with black. Then I add some more metal colour to the mix for an intermediate highlight colour, and then for the final highlight I use the metal colour straight from the pot.

Regards, Paul.

Hallo Paul,

Many greetings from Germany

Bruno

Really lovely work, Paul. Your highlights and shadings are applied with a fine, light touch, but still strong. I really like the work you have done. Clean and bold.
