This fascinating news item popped up in my YouTube feed earlier today, so I thought it might be an idea to share it here. It's some good news for a change in contrast to all the usual doom & gloom the BBC normally reports on.

One thing's for sure; I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to explore the ruins of the ancient city of Palmyra in the Syrian desert way back when -- before the vandals further destroyed so much of what was a priceless cultural heritage. It's all pretty sad really but the report from Iraq offers hope that not all is lost.

Its always exciting to hear news like that. Last week they found the wreck of the sister ship of the famous " Vasa" from the 17th century in Sweden. I love when things like this happen.
Greetings, Stephan

Yes, I am familiar with the history of the "Vasa"....a most beautiful ship......I was impressed and surprised when I heard that news.
