I really like what BONAPARTES MILITARY MODELS produce, so I bought some of their figurines.
Like many, I admire them once they got to the house, then these figures join my great gray army (unless I am doing a review for PF)!
I took out of this great army a Mounted figurine in 90mm from BONAPARTES, and I seriously checked the parts before assembly. Woe! one is missing.
So I contacted this company by email and PM on PF.
For over a month no answer !!!!
And it's not the first time with this brand!
No customer service, nothing!
It is a real lack of seriousness!:censored:
So a tip, if you really want a figurine of this brand, pay by Paypal check well in reception it is complete, and if this is not the case made immediately play your PayPal guaranteed!
Perhaps there after sales service work.
Damage, beautiful figures, but I think i will stop any purchase with this brand because of its lack of professionalism.

ZC,

Fingers crossed for you

It's probably a good rule to open all models sent in the post and check they are complete as soon as they arrive.
I am prepared to bet you are likely to get what you see as better customers service then.

I know someone who is a little suspicious of modellers who's kits are 'incomplete' a good while afterward.
he said to me one time
"I know they've probably lost it after starting the model, I'm going to replace it for them, but i wish they just said that instead of blaming me. I often put dpplicates of the delicate bits in because anyone can damage bits."

There's two sides to many complaints.
Good luck with the model

Zastrow,

Oh! please believe me when I say I have had also had issues with 'Bonapartes', in the past! Generally connected to 'God Awful Casting'.

Check this out!

Hussar 006.JPG ..A knackered rim on the visor! So! it went back at my cost! (Postage), the replacement was equally 'Stuffed', so again it went back again at my cost! Eventually I ended up with the product that I actually wanted. However, at an extra 17 GBP.

It is a bit worrying, considering the original price @90GBP That is not cheap.!

The original piece is this.
. mounted-french-hussar-officer-and-drummer-boy-[3]-203-p.jpg. mounted-french-hussar-officer-and-drummer-boy-[4]-203-p.jpg.mounted-french-hussar-officer-and-drummer-boy-203-p.jpg. However after all of this it is now irrelevant, as I have totally lost interest in this piece! Into the grey army!

Regards,

Mark

However, in fairness! I have received other kit, which was spot-on! ... maybe I was just unlucky with this subject. Although I have never ordered anything since this episode :cautious: and I am reluctant to do so.:(

Regards,

Mark

This is indeed a sad indictment of a long-established company. I've had no dealings with them, so cannot comment. However, a similar situation has arisen with"First Legion" 54mm kits, and buyers should bware if they are buying either Wellington or Michel Ney. Both I and a chum have had the wrong heads in both kits! Ney's transposed for Wellington's[both are wearing bicornes] My chum had his sorted at the toy soldier fair, but I have had no joy in dealing with the parent company. More or less ignored; but I was able to substitute a Historex Ney head, so all is not lost. Acutely annoying.
We learn by experience, lads.
