John Bowery
A Fixture
This is posted a little late as the figure was just finished a couple of weeks prior to the Chicago show. This was in Chicago and Texas.
It was painted with a base of acrylics and oils for the shading and flesh. The shirt was in acrylics only.
I substituted the metal base for a wooden one and scribed the planks and nail holes and then weathered the boards. The Tumbleweed by the door was Maureens idea. I angled the saloon door to the base so as not to be parallel with the edges. Weathering was done with pastel powders.
All comments are welcome.
