Hello all.
Well after a bit of a break I'm back with this offering.
It's the Nuts Planet 1/10 scale Anne Bonney, painted with Vallejo acrylics.
I must admit I really did not enjoy this one, I don't know if it's because I've been away from the bench for so long or that I have to take breaks every half hour to straighten my back out or that after mixing the base tone, shadow and highlight tones I coated her in the shadow mix, I'm blaming the medication, so, I started again and repainted her today, only thing I didn't touch was the eyes.
I had a mojo dip towards the end to the extent that her eyebrow, which I forgot to paint, was drawn in with a watercolour pencil, it'll be rectified before the next show.
Anyhoo, here's some pictures, I kept the colour scheme very basic, blue bandana and purple waistcoat, on a historic note those colours were always reserved for royalty so for a pirate to wear those colours was thumbing their nose at the establishment.
I looked at 18th century clothing and embroidered silk patterns for the waistcoat, you never know I might revisit her for a repaint.
I found a really nice pearl paint as well, I used the interference blue on her pearls rather than pure pearl, it's cracking stuff, I got mine through Atlantis art supplies.
I hope you like, open to any criticism you have, and yes I've noticed the highlights on the eyelids are too bright.
Regards.
Mick
