Great idea.

I ran a model group at my psychiatric day services work and the rewards they got were amazing.

Distraction from voices
Relaxation
Self worth
Pride of achievement
Problem solving
Increasing manual dexterity
believing in themselves
To name but a few

Would 120/200mm figures be of any use? The larger scales would be easier to paint as well. There is the model railway show at NESCOT (Reigate Road Ewell, Reigate Road, Epsom KT17 3DS - just 5 1/2 miles from Headley Court) over the weekend of 25th/26th April, as well as the BMSS Annual Show on 25th. I also have a compressor and airbrush that has had very little recent use.

Hi Mike,
I have just had a reply from Si and I can assure you, your donation would be very welcome and gladly received. They need models from the simple like my one piece Naval bust to the more complex kits and your donation of airbrush and compressor would be a valuable resource for them.
cheers

Hi Steve,
You certainly don't need to apologise mate, if it was not for you posting this originally, we probably would have never seen this most worthy cause.(y) So change your:( to a :). Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, top job mate.

Richie

I am waiting to hear whether in addition to what I took in last week they are looking for busts/figures as well.

Mike

Double check Mike but I'm sure they will want them busts especially as they are kinder to folks with hand injuries etc
