anybody have experience with interference red?

I have golden and liquitex interfence red and gold and irridescent white. I plan on painting a figure with a transparent gown using irri white then light mist of inter. gold for her hair and gown. should these be sprayed or can they bebrushed? What are people hints and tips on using these?
