Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note here to remind ya’ll that the planning for the 2nd APG Gettysburg Show is currently underway. I’ll be popping in occasionally to keep everyone updated as to what will be happening.

The APG project for the coming year is the conservation of the flag of the 149th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment

This year’s Show will again be held at the Wyndham Gettysburg on July 15-18, 2010.

Among the things going on for this year’s event are;

*A day long “Painting With Acrylic’s” seminar presented by Matt Springer on Thursday, July 15th. (More details later)

*The miniatures portion of the Show will be an Exhibition, as opposed to a Competition. Everyone who enters will be presented with a Limited Edition print similar to last year’s award. Additionally, there will be a special “award” for the best version of the new APG figure sculpted by John Long. (Details to be noted later)

*There will be tours on Friday morning before the Show opens, and on Sunday July 21st. The Figure Show proper will conclude on Saturday night with the presentation of “awards”.

The Wyndham Gettysburg is already accepting reservation , so don’t wait until the last minute. When making your reservation be sure and ask for the Artist’s Preservation Group to get the discounted room rate. Reservations can be made by contacting the hotel directly (717-339-0020), or central reservations (866-845-8885)

Stay tuned for more developments and plans.. Oh yeah, speaking of plans, start making your to be with us at Gettysburg in July.

Hi Everyone.

Don't forget about Matt Springer's acrylic painting class.
The class will be 1 day before the opening of the show.
Matt will have a 75mm Michael Roberts figure that is included in the
price of the class. The cost $150.00. Matt will have lights for each
student and will email a list of Vallejo paint each student is to bring to class
along with a pallet and brushes. The class is limited to only 12 students
so Matt can be hands on with each student. Each student should take home
with them a completely painted figure.

Matt's class is filling up. He has a few more slots open.
The class has to be pre-paid to reserve your spot.
So contact Matt as soon as possible.

Also... the APG will be having a raffel again. It will once again be a
special sculpt by Matt. He has offered his services again. Randy Myers
won last year's raffel.

You can purchase tickets at the Atlanta show this month OR contact
Mike.. or order with Paypal on the APG site.
Tickets are: $10.00 each OR 6 for $50.00.
