Here's another beautiful figure to be offered at the APG Gettysburg Show Auction on August 8. This one, a mounted 54mm 1st Cuirassier Trumpeter 1810, was painted by Ron Wehrman, the Atlanta Grand Master and repeated Gold Medal winner. If you like red, mounted figures and the Napoleonic era, try your hand at bidding on this excellent figure!
These are critical times in U.S. history with our military traditions and heritage being increasingly ignored or threatened. Auction proceeds, Show revenue and all donations support the conservation and restoration of U.S. military artifacts and sites. And remember, the Artist Preservation Group is a fully-qualifed charitable organization and all contributions are tax-deductible.
This year's APG project is restoration of the magnificent 5th Alabama Battalion battle flag. Captured in Pickett's Charge on July 3, 1863 and later owned by Joshua Chamberlain's family, the flag will be on display at the Gettysburg Show.
The Show's turning out to be an extremely popular new event and reserved hotel rooms are almost sold out. Make your reservations this weekend and we'll see you in Gettysburg on Aug 7-9.
