Here's a photo of Alan and Marion Ball's 75mm British Light Infantry Officer 1810 to be auctioned at the APG Gettysburg Show August 7-9. This is only one of 21 excellent figures that have been donated. More photos will be posted as the Show approaches.

I have that figure here at home and it's a beauty. Thanks to Alan and Marion for their contribution.

Bill is right. The rooms are going fast and the hotel told me Wednesday that once our block is sold they can't guarentee anymore at the special show price. Aug is busy in Gettysburg and the hotel will fill up fast so don't wait. The drop dead date for special rates etc is July 7.

I also want to adivse anyone makng a reservation to call the hotel direct at 717-339-0020 not the toll free 866 Cental Booking number. Mention the Artist Preservation Group, not APG, to avoid confusion. The very best way to book is on line by going to http://www.wyndham.com/groupeventsnew/mdtge_artist/main.wnt

If you've made your reservation through the Central Booking 866 number you may want to check to make sure you are in our block, have the right price ($120), and are at the correct hotel.

Hi,
Just finished booking a room for my wife and myself at the hotel
Just wanted to mention that I tried using the link supplied on the APG website. While it worked for getting to the hotel site, when I tried to book the room, it wouldn't give me a room at the show rate of $120.00. Instead, the rates were from $170 and higher.
I tried a couple of times with no success. so I called the hotel directly and they put me through to the reservation service. The guy I talked with was very helpful and got me the room for the show rate. We even made sure that APG got credit for the booking.
Just thought I'd let you folks know. It might be something you'll want to check into.

I looked at the site and believe I know what happened. There where 2 places to click. The first took you to the hotel website, the second to the booking site constructed specifically for our event. If you clicked the first you wouldn't be offered the special rate. If you scrolled down to the second place you went to the correct site. and were offered the rate. We've removed the first button so from now on you will have only button to chose from and that will take you to the special booking site. http://www.wyndham.com/groupeventsnew/mdtge_artist/main.wnt
