It's been almost 2 weeks since the end of our show in Gettysburg and I have been remiss in not posting something about it. In my defense I got on an airplane the day after the show and have been traveling since. I've just gotten settled at Ft Rucker, AL.

Many others have posted about the success of the show. We raised the money for the flag conservation and were able to meet all of our hotel commitments and more. There were some superb award winning exhibits and lots of enthusiasim. More importantly than the money we raised and the awards that were given was the camarderie that was experienced by everyone that attended. Gettysburg has a habit of creating a bond between those that experience it together and with the place itself. It really is a unique place and Sheps word posted here previously said it all.

We are in the process of creating a CD with pictures of the show and will make available it for a small fee. The profits will of course go to our fundraising efforts. I will also be posting a list of award winners soon for anyone interested.

Randy Myers won the Matt Springer raffle. I don't know yet what he will have Matt do. There were about 2 dozen door prizes given out during the day and at the BBQ Sat night. Thanks to all who donated.

We'll be updating our site soon so look there for more info. I hope to have list's of name of those that help at registration, judging, etc. I will also announce the next years project in a day or two.

One more reason I waited so long to post something was we weren't sure about next year. I've been negotiating with the hotel and today we reached an agreement. Bottom line is, start painting becasue the SHOW IS ON for next year. Dates are 16, 17, and 18 JULY. Wyndham Gettyburg. More to follow.
