The First Kidnapping In Germany

On April 15, 1958, the history books record the first kidnapping in Germany - a crime previously only known from the USA.

The 40-year-old temporary gardener Emil Tillmann…

...kidnapped - under the pretext of wanting to show him "a little deer in the forest" - the seven-year-old Joachim Göhner from Stuttgart-Degerloch...

...from the garden of his parents' house...:

Immediately after the crime, Tilmann strangles the child and hides the body.

Nevertheless, he demands a ransom of 15,000 DM from the father of the child.

Since Germany has no experience with such a crime, the police resort to US investigative methods...:

During the blackmail call, officials record the perpetrator's voice and publish the recording on the radio.

There are several references to Tillmann, who is then also arrested...:

After the boy's body is found...

... Tillmann makes a confession ("Ich wars"/"I did it")…:

However, there will be no trial because Emil Tillmann will hang himself while he is still in custody.

Evil scum , took the easy way out .....guilty as charged

Sad thing to happen to the boys family , we can only imagine what they went through

Cheers
