Oh man, that is sad to hear!

As you can tell by my avatar, Arthur was my favourite of them all, what a legend!

RIP George Cole.

Total legend. But I'd heard a while back that he hadn't been well, so given his age this comes as no surprise. Still sad though. I loved 'Minder' and still do.

Anyone else remember this show that he did in the early '90s? Seems to have been largely forgotten now but I really enjoyed it, and at the time it was very "topical".

Ignore the embedded video, it's a poor-quality dubbed version into (I think) Magyar.

What a shame, I know we don't last forever but I believe he was a true gent in reality

I don't think I have ever heard anyone say an unkind word about him.

'Stand by me Terence, mark my words, as sure as eggs is perishables".

I remember my mum used to mention that she would sell him a ticket each week when she was working on the buses. He'd be on his way to the studio's in London, of course many years ago. RIP Gov.
