In other discussion we talked about the correct settings for little soldiers. http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/sardinian-grenadier-1741-47.74268/page-2

I suggested to publish photos of our countries ... if the photos add some notes on the history I can become a source of inspiration for future work.

We are many and we live anywhere .... I think he can become a good photo book

I live in northern Italy, Piedmont, about 60 km from Turin.
The Valley where I live is characterized by a Protestant community, the Waldensian Church, there have been many clashes and religious war with the Duke of Savoy and King. Cossacks were stationed Austrian and French during the Napoleonic wars, it was an important center of formation of partisan groups during the Second World War, the area is similar to the one passed by the elephants of Hannibal during the Punic Wars.

The territory is similar in almost all over the Alps as far as the trees in my valley prevail beeches, larches, chestnuts. The rocks are gray brilliant, some mottled with rust due to the presence of iron ....

In Italy almost every country, however small, has its own castle.

This is the strong Santa Maria built in 1655 on the foundations of another strong, not just to defend the Piedmont, but to attack the inhabitants of the valley ... was partially destroyed in 1690 and then later by Napoleon remains only one more tower guard, and the walls of the perimeter ... the other photo is the path that leads to the strong bricks of the sixteenth century

Great idea!!!! Well done starting the thread. I hope everyone posts pics of their regions... Especially regions where battles or campaigns took place.

I'll be watching this thread with interest.

This where I live.

This the scene of the famous Battle of Cottesloe Beach in Perth, Western Australia.

Most common injuries included sun burn, getting sand in your butt crack, burning feet in hot sand, shark bite, losing car keys in the sand and occasional loss of virginity in sand dunes.

This is a winter scene. Please note the use of specialist winter camouflage bikinis. In summer the bikini is optional.

For my future work would need some photos of the region of the Battle of Quebec in 1759 ... especially the cliff ... someone lives there, or has in store?

I promised photos of the river in my town ... I'm sorry, I have not had time to go to them

In northern Argentina I have made a holiday
on horseback .

beautiful places

Here's some pics of Misiones Province, where i was born.
it is located in the Northeast corner of Argentina bording with paraguay and Brazil
they call her Misiones the Beauty, and it's know by it red ground, some tropical vegetation, the famous Iguazu Falls and one of the greatest producers of Yerba Mate, some sort of Tea which is part of Argentinian tradition and Uruguayan as well.
The Misiones name takes its name from the Jesuits monks who established a colony after the spanish conquistadores raided the region and established their quarters there.
The Movie "the Mission"with Robert de Niro was filmed entirely there, that could give you a great insight on how the area looks.
no battles fought as far as i know but anyone i terested in replicate the conquistadores or so could find it useful.
regards
