This last month Young Miniatures has brought us an Athenian Warlord bust sculpted by Young and painted by the extremely talented Sang Eon Lee.

Arriving in Young's traditional sturdy black box with layers of foam protecting all of the parts the kit is cast in a yellowish resin and consists of seven resin parts including the optional shield.

Above we see the four views of the head which is slightly tilted and fits snuggly down into the chest portion of the bust.

The very top photo above shows the helmet as it came in the kit. I cleaned out the eye openings easily with a scalpel knife. As you will see later in the review the helmet fits down tightly onto the head and the hair is sculpted so as to hold the helmet in position.

There is probably a more correct term for this part of the helmet but I know it as only the crest support and fastens to the top of the helmet.

Above you see the four views of the helmet crest that will fit right down onto the crest support fastened to the helmet. Dry-fitting was perfect.

I took the head of the kit and went into my garage shop and quickly removed the casting plug from the top of the head with a small Dremel and afterwards found the helmet to fit exactly onto the head.

Above are the four sides to the chest part showing the incredible detail Young has sculpted into the surfaces of the shoulder armor.

Conclusion:
An excellent bust produced by Young Miniatures. Casting plugs easily remove and all dry-fitting was excellent. Highly recommended.

Guy another stellar review of an outstanding kit from Young Miniatures! It has much fondelishiousness. Be forewarned, I'm gonna hafta see this one in the "resin" the next time I'm over. Young is the leader of the pack with work like this, and his box art by Lee absolutely sets the bar!!!!

Thanks Jay. I agree with you. Young is at the front of the pack and his sculpting is only enhanced by Sang Eon Lee's painting.

Just when we think we've reached the apex of figure sculpting,Young takes us to another place again!
Great review, Guy as always.
This bust will surely become a classic with so much "fondelishiousness.":)
