Morning folks,...
many thanks for those kind words, greatly appreciated it..... l think we'll stick with a few more ANZAC subjects from different periods.....

thanks fellas..Phil...

Will have to get this one, just finished watching: Kokoda, 39th Battalion and the film has given me inspiration to paint it. Let us know when it is ready. Best regards, John.

I'm not normally a fan of WW2 figures but this one is a bloody beauty. Very realistic, true to style from the photos of the diggers in New Guinea and a real treat.

Heartiest congratulations on a figure with real feeling.

Cheers
Chris

PS, Now how about a 1st Australian Horse 1903 , a New South Wales Lancer 1899 or a Victorian Mounted Rifles 1885?:D:D:D:D

Aust.Bren Gunner...

evening John,...Chris..
Kokoda with the 39th is a subject in the making as is the early mounted units, l have a Lighthorseman all but ready to go, just a little more detailing, he's in an action pose, although on foot.....

thanks for the good words and your imput...Phil..

Hi Ya Phil and Ian,
Glad you guy's are here on the planet. Phil, looks as though you are back into the sculpting again THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!!!It's great to see your stuff again, will have to get one of these plus others that you may do. Looks awesome.
Ben ( ex Brissy , now Perth )

I am on the list already

Jon drink a decent aussie beer -a Nice Tooeys New or Platinum or a Boag ,some XXXX gold or A Blonde (just some 'real' aussie beers)

Ian mate,

Yes, a 'real' Aussie beer would be better than a Fosters any day! Here's looking forward to the day i can share a XXXX gold with you diggers!

Cheers,
Jon.

Aust BREN G.....

morning, evening all,......

guys would it not be great if beer was what sculpting and figures was all about... there would be mini tankers out side all the shows,..built in vates and barrels in the work rooms, best of both worlds...he! he!.....O! well back to earth....

cheers to you all for the good thoughts really appreciated,Ben mate how are you... enjoying the west..hope that the bear and the door are not teaching you their bad habits.....

l've started taking apart the Aust.in great coat, hes leaning on a bren also tapping out his pipe on the heel of his boot :scale 120mm..but I think I can improve him some with some wee changes around the head and helmet and sand goggles....lan will post some photos as it happens...

Phil.......

Bad habits, moi??? Certainly not.

Ben's already made his presence felt here in The West. He cleaned up almost all the major awards at WASMEx last year and is a regular at HMFS meetings. He arrived from Queensland with his bad habits already well practiced and perfected. No doubt a result of your influence!!

Glad to see the wee soldier factory is back into production. Will these new figures come out under the Masters In Minature brand, or someone else's label??

From the pics I've seen of the Bren Gunner tapping out his pipe on his boot, it will be another masterpiece. Just a thought, but perhaps for an added contrast you could replace the Bren with a Boys Anti-Tank rifle or Lewis Gun, both of which were used in the early stages of the North Africa campaign by both Australian and NZ forces.

Now that you're back in production, I'm going to have to get a second job topay for all these magnificent kits.

hay bro..
no mate the little company is not back in business Greg Anderson's, "OZ MOD" is the man doing all the work and all will be released under his banner,me l just enjoy the sculpting, less of the stress this way...
ye mate l think the bren will have to go, rather like the thought of a Lewis gun, dates him a little then...l like that...Phil...
