I have recently completed these two AWI busts by TFB.
I painted them in oils over acrylics.
The busts themselves are sculpted by Offo and have great detail and require very minimal cleanup.
Although the bodies are generic they can be painted in a multitude of different regiments.
Four different heads can be purchased to help with the different regiments.
The two I have completed are on the left, Pennsylvanian regiment alongside Butler’s rangers. I’m awaiting nameplates.
They are mounted on bases supplied by Richard from Oakwood studios.
I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend these busts to anyone interested in this period or looking for something a little different.

Hi Peter

Good to see what you’ve been working on , they both look good , nice painting on the clothing colours

Facial work looks good as well ....oils ?

So many options using the various pieces available so these are good examples

Thanks for sharing , why not support the comps as well

Looking forward to seeing more from your bench

Have fun

Nap

Well done peter they have come out great love the purple hunters jacket very different. Your leather work is very good too works so well with the worn look of the jacket.

It’s always interesting to see what people do with the multi hat version of this bust. You can have fun converting them to other regiments ar do a conversion like Nap did and make him a guy from the war of 1812. Lots of scope. Looking forward to you doing more.

Hi Nap.
First time I have seen this image but it’s great to know I got somewhere close to a great artist.
Many thanks to you for looking this up.

I’m thinking of the Culpepper Militia for a future project but have yet to look them up.

Meanwhile SWIMBO has me doing a different type of painting (groans) thanks for your support.

Peter.
