Dear friends,

I have been buiding the Verlinden 120 mm Bandit 2 o'clock. It is about the B-17 wasit gunner and a section of the B-17 at the wait gunner position. I am lack of interior reference of the B-17 so I still cannot finish it up. I am wondeing if anyone may be able to give a hand on the B-17 interior pictures. I am focusing on how the gunner's oxygen mask hose and the headset wire are connect to the palne, there must have some connecting device (box) or somthing like that on the wall of the plane?

Thank you so much and looking forward your reply.

Sincerely yours,
Bang

Hello Bang,
I'm not an expert of the 2 WW, although I made aircraft models many years ago.
I suggest you to look for the movie "Memphis Belle", the history of a famous B17 and his crews bombing Germany. If you rent the dvd and play slow motion of the scenes where are the crews, I think possible you have the solution.
However, this morning I saw on Internet there many sites about B17 Flying Fortresses and his crew, but I had no time to visit all. Best regards
MdM

Yeah, I thank you first for your helping. Honestly, those website I have found but none of them really show the detail at the waist gunner position, such as how the gunnner gonna connect his oxyge nmask and the radio headset to the plane? Should there be some hole or devidce to plug in? That is what I cannot find on those picture.
Do anyone have the walk around of B-17 from Squadron or the lock on from Verlinden of the B-17 ,may you confirm that detail for me? Thank you so much.

Here is a few sites that might help.

I think this image shows what you are looking for. Look at area just above the amo box. This is where the gunner would plug in his O2 and mike cable the mike cable went in to the spot by the window.

I think there may have been more then one place to hook up your air and mike lines. In one shot it looks like thye may have air coming out of the top of the aircraft. In others it seems to be on the side.
