This is my second figure model, my first full figure. It is Alpine Miniatures 1/16 scale BAR Gunner US 29th Infantry Division. It's a terrific sculpt and casting, and I didn't do it justice with my novice paint job. But it is finally finished. Painted in acrylics.

Hey, I think you can be proud of a good all round job, you'll take lessons and build confidence from this and apply them to the next project and so on, well done!
Regards,
Chris.
I agree with Chris's comment above. On this your second figure you've done an excellent job. Your brushwork is neat, you have a sense for where the lights and darks need to be and the colors look right. I suggest you post in the Brutal Honesty forum so that you can benefit from the perspective of others. If you do, try to include some pics of the face. This is a nicely done figure and yes you did it justice.

Even with your "lack of experience" you choose a well detail figure to paint, smart move imo. Many beginers starting painting lousy plastic figures, always ending with disastrous results that discourages them to new challenges.
Great work for a second figure that will please Alpine team surely.(y)

Cheers,
Pedro

Wow! The photos aren't the best but from where I'm sitting it looks like you've done a tremendous job. All the more so, considering that it's only your second piece.
