Hi all,

Some of you might have seen my welcome post. I'm an avid collector of all walks of life. I recently acquired a significant collection that included thousands of figures/sets. I have about 40 new Barzso sets but found these two gentlemen hiding in ambush amongst the treasure trove.

They're about 2-2.5x the size of the normal figures. To my ignorant eye, it appears to be a giant long lost cousin of Rogers' Rangers.

...Bueller?

Thanks,
Josh

Ah, OK, thanks! Yes, from your first description, I thought that these were considerably larger than 54mm or 1/32 scale. I thought that you might have meant that these were two to two-and-a-half times a 1/32 scale figure. With the ruler there, I can see that they fall into the 1/32 range.

You mentioned Barzo, and Barzo makes sets in 1/32. I painted Airfix' figures when I was a kid, but I don't collect & paint any plastic today-outside of building scale models. So it's a middling educated guess that this one is a Barzo figure, maybe a Ranger. There are some other makers of 1/32 plastics, though, too, like Armies in Plastic, Engineer Basevich, among others.

Once you get settled in at Treefrog, someone there will be able to give you a better ID, for certain. There is a plastics forum there, with an active core group of collectors, and some guys who modify and paint them, too. I find plastic figures interesting and worthy of study, but I'm a traditionalist for my own collection, and stick to metal.

Prost!
Brad
