Be a lot easier to just go to the pound shop and buy a pack load of AA for a £1 
Good link though and surprising how many AA fit inside that 6v battery.

Im not surpriced. Also remember that batteries comes a lot cheaper if you buy in bulks like 25ea, non-blisterpack.

Known about this for a long time, was mentioned in Engineering magazines a while ago. Used to use it a lot, now tend to use rechargables.
I suppose I should go back to using this system to help the environment and all that other wonderful stuff I can do to save the world!!!!
