Is there a miniature figure manufacture that will produce 54mm or 75mm sword blades and bayonets in brass or steel etch. I am fed up with trying to straighten resin in tepid water. I know I could make them from the left over brass etch,.....etc, etc.
Moan over.....................

I feel for you Bob -
I managed to snap off a 'metal' sword the other day from a resin figure:Reached over and caught my arm on the point and it sheared off where I'd drilled in into the hilt . . . . :arghh: ARRRRG! Still on the plus side I'm now looking at a slightly different idea for the figure. If I lose the hilt and some reins and a horse and I've got the start of a little diorama :)

Cheers
Paul

Nimix do them, but as rare as rocking horse ---t.(y)

Will have to look harder for them, thanks for the heads up.

Hi Bob I think a problem you may be having, is using tepid water.
I use freshly boiled water, dip the resin in, straighten and then instantly dip in cold water.works about 99% of the time for me.
Hope this helps.
Ralph.

Thanks Ralph,
The main problem is the the resin is too thin, so I want to replace it with a metal blade, something that's rigid.
Thanks for the help and I will try that first.
Regards
Bob
