Hello people.
Wishing you Happy 2015, my last place (not yet fully completed .... missing his left hand and various finishes) work.
Frankly I was undecided whether to put it in this section or in section Fantasy, since after a long study and research I have not understood if the "Warrior Berserkr" whether or not it really existed.
However 95% of the sources claim it.
So that's why Qusta section.

Nero,

The beserkers were for real. I do not know why a search online failed to reveal that fact. Certain Viking warriors were called "berserkers". These fellows were known for going into trance-like fury when in battle. They could achieve seemingly super-human feats when under the berserker spell. If I am not mistaken, the name beserker means "bear shirt" referring to these warriors wearing clothing made from bear fur.

BTW, you need to post smaller sized images. My 'puter chokes on your images when opening the page and I cannot view them because of that. I am sure other people must have similar issues..... ??

I also read on the Web I definition of berserkers.
But I was not convinced.
So I took a number of books of the Vikings and have not found answers.
I am sure, however, that the information you are given certain.

For photos, I resubmit in a smaller format.

Thanks for the answers.

Ciao Rocco

I've read somewhere (don't remember where), that berserker got in the Berserk state after eating certain "magical" mushrooms. Don't know how much of this is true or fantasy either.

Love the figure and hope to see it painted soon.

Cheers,

Gino
