Acrylics Best paint for representing bullion buttons etc

Evening all,
i'm struggling to get a really good gleam to 75mm/90mm buttons, gorgets etc. Can anybody recommend a good paint/ink to achieve this.

Hi,

Couple of things you could try:
You could start by painting things with gold with some brown mixed in and then add small highlight areas with gold and white gold. If you keep the last extreme highlight sharp and small, it suggests high shine.
Another method is to paint and highlight less extreme and then gloss coat the metal areas.
If it is a metal figure you could also polish the bare metal parts and cover them with yellow/orangy glazes to get a gold look.

What looks best depends on scale and personal taste.
As always, it's a matter of trying and keeping what you like.
