Is Nello using the same low quality resin that he used for the 146th NYVI Zouave and the Grenadier he released somewhen last year? I bought the ACW Zouave and it was a marvellous piece full of details and extremely fine casting but resin was so poor that it broke like glass whenever you touched it.........cleaning the piece from the 3D supports was a nightmare and I had to use cyanoacrilate every two minutes and epoxy putty to recreate the details that could not be glued back..........a real pity, 'cause the piece is beautiful like this new one......hope he will invest in a higher quality resin!!!

Surely the quality if the Resin is in the hands of the caster not the sculptor? that is the responsibility of Best Soldiers.

Keith

Keith thanks for the very important clarification is a product Bestsoldiers that use standard Bestsoldiers

Escuse Renato is not the post to this observations Nello is a sculptor of piece not producer, production is Bestsoldiers you can see image of real kit as soon

Thks for the clarification!

So let me rephrase my comment.

Last figure sculpted by Nello, I bought it from Bestsoldiers shop (here the cofusion I think) under the label "Nello Riveccio Production", and it was a beautiful figure with a super poor resin casting (see above my comments). And several colleagues had the same feedback I can tell you.

If now this new figure is being casted by Bestsoldiers and is not another "Nello Riveccio Production" release, I really hope that Bestsoldiers will use a better resin than the previous releases from Nello under the "Nello Riveccio Production" label.

Hi, just reading what you put above it looks like you bought a direct 3d print and not a resin casting that was made and molded from the 3d master. The reason I say this is that you mention removing supports and that the resin is brittle. 3d resin once printed and cured is always brittle from most manufactures apart from a few dental wax resins. In most circumstances it is normally used as the master make molds from and then go into production. Sounds like you got a print straight off the printer and not normal or financially viable or practical to do this for mass production. 3d resins and polyurethane casting resins are two different products. Saying that a bit of careful removal of supports and a sanding stick will do the trick, also putting the model in hot water will make the supports soft for easy and non brittle removal.

Cheers
Tommi

Good morning Renato .
Your post is completely off track and you are deliberately harming the Marco production for a blame that was mine , not his one. I was only the sculptor and not the producer for this piece. Glad you liked the details and the sculpting of my previous figure that I did by myself and I am sorry to hear you had some problem with the 3D resin quality. The 3D resin is different from the classical one used for so many years so far , and need a different attention and working approach but I understand you had some problem about that. Anyway, getting back to this figure... The project was made for a conventional resin production, (not 3D ) and the figure is going to be released, casted and traded by Marco Ganghini under the Bestsoldiers company as a classical resin piece, and let me tell you that I saw the casting ...It's incredible detailed ;)
So in the end , if your post was about some concern regarding the quality of the resin coming straight from a 3d printer......... It' completely off track. It's a classical resin piece with a classical resin casting.
Before writing something bad against a company ( absolutely with no blame for problems you had with my casting ) you should think twice before pushing enter

No resentment at all Renato , just a claerification ..... Peace and love and keep up the good work ;)
