Dear All , here is a continuation of my original thread about Andrea Miniatures 90mm German sniper.

Thanks to everyone who gave encouragement despite some bad pics, am still learning and practice makes perfect, the original thraed includes a reveiw and some info about the painting tecxhniques and limeted conversions that i have done to this fella. , Today concentrated on Peas pattern trousers, and facial details (in oils) also aged the parka to take the brightness out of the autum blurred edge camo patten, seems to be taking shape nicely, he can dry untill next weekend !!! then finishing touches, my next project is well outside of my usual comfort zone - its Andreas 90mm Roman signifer, have resolved not to even open the box til the sniper is finished though !!! :)

Hopefully the photos are good enough now for comments re the paint job - hope you like him,

Best RGDS

SS Sniper

Kirky ,
Nice photos , lots of work on the camo there then , hope to be able to see this one some time , nice groundwork , what do you think about a sniper in a snow/winter scenario ? Nice touch the doll on the ground as well .

Look forward to more pics

Hi Nap,

Hope you are well chap,

The Box art for the figure is in snow whites and looks great, i just wanted to practice german camo on him, i may have to buy another next pay day and do the whites  the doll is sculpted into the ground work supplied by Andrea miniatures.

I love painting camo, its great to see the pattern become progressively more disruptive guess the roman fig that i will do next will present a dif set of challenges but the hobby is all about pushing personal boundaries, sorry about the last meeting, i am afraid that duty called last minute as usual, my job has come up in the hague, likely to be moving in April.

Anyway take care chap and as always thanks for your interest

Kirky, splendid work mate!
The camo looks really good and the photography is much much better. This is an area I struggle with too. My pics always seem to come out too dark so I've got some learning to do aswell.

Anyway as I said great looking fig.

Thanks Gents, much to do on this one still once the oils have dried

Can heartily reccomend it as great value for money, photos seem to be getting better now i have found the macro setting (a nice lad from Malta told me that one) and followed some of the advice on the link that brent sent me (cheers brent)

Christos my freind, thanks for the paint machine comment !! and the complement re the camo - i dont usually paint this quick but we have had a lot of Snow in the UK which meant no work for me !!! am praying for some more :)

You would do a great job on this figure having seen your fallscrimjager conversion.

Thanks all for your interest
will post again on completion and after the oils have dried

Best Regards and enjoy the hobby
