Would have expected the FN Fal or Sten gun to be held by the Royal Marines as well as wearing a beret. He looks more like an SAS trooper with M16.

Ahh right hes not actually holding the M16.

Just an opinion not fact. :D Use to the common imagery I guess.

So out of curiosity, what is he holding? I thought the FN was the common weapon from simple photo observations (I am clueless on weaponry)?

BTW - very nice series of figures on a neglected period (aside from some large scale figures).

For both, Brits and Argies was common carried weapon the FN FAL, in Argentinas was produced under licence form FN Herstal )Belgium) at the Fabricaciones Militares Factory.
They had a Para version based on the original.
It's not uncommon practice in the special forces and elite forces to carry your own weapon, in fact , Brit Special forces carried M-16"s based on the info I have.
Argentine's special forces used to a very little extent, but mainly Navy commandos use the Sterling.

I have a picture some place of a RM using an M-16 during the falklands conflict.

what i would like to see is some action posed british figures from the war in afghanistan.

i do like the Vallon figure but it would be nice to see a british soldier lying down firing GPMG or one kneeling firing the Minimi
