Anyone been watching "Black Sails" the early days of John Silver?
Lots of swashing and buckling, not to mention the naked... nudge, nudge say no more.

Bought the Season 1 box set a few weeks back but haven't started watching it yet. Thought it looked promising and at only £9.99 off Amazon, it would have almost been rude to pass on it.

Steve, I think you'll be hooked, line and sinker.

Great series!!!
Watched all of season one and parts of the second... Gonna re watch it on demand before the third season starts.

Pirates, ships, bloodletting and naked hotties... What more can you ask for?

We could ask for more naked hotties. Damn it, there I go again, cold shower needed, and at my age.:(

Don't think it will be long before I order season two.

I'm looking forward to it Malc.

The Mrs and I are currently watching series 1 of "The Americans" which is pretty good. Before that we did Season 1 of "Da Vinci's Demons" which we were both a bit disappointed with. I watched it to the season finale but SWMBO gave up on it a couple of episodes prior to that. It was OK but nothing spectacular. Not in any rush to continue with Season 2.

"Black Sails" is probably next up.

Just finished episode 6, great stuff, going to order season 2 now

I'm not surprised at the series popularity,

When did we last see a good buckle be swashed

I hope there be lots of sword fighting as well.

Far be it for me to P on anyone's parade. After all the comments on this thread I was able to have a look at series 1. Alas I wont be watching S.2. I appreciate a little artistic licence but 18th century pirates with wrap around sunglasses talking about Durex ( is the brand that old) is beyond the pale. So those that like it enjoy.
But for me, Not tonight josephine.

Lol,
This all makes me glad I haven't seen a pirate film since Burt lancaster, Robert Newton, Errol Flynn and Geena Davies.

That's how all pirates should be I reckon.

It should be the law !

Avast and belay ye swabs,

Which I believe means, "for that reason...... I'm out".
