Came across this "mini" manufacturer ( http://www.blackscorpionminiatures.com ) that produce a range of large-scale figs. Wondering if anyone can identify the unit this ACW drummer would/could be from? Is it accurate? The tunic has some unique lace work and the big "H" on the belt buckle immediately spring to mind.

BTW, they also offer a cool-looking 40mm Bob Dylan,

and an alternative Achilles (Brad Pitt) at 60mm

along with a host of nicely sculpted "mini's". (y)

Here's the reference for the drummer that was used

Maybe 22nd New York State Militia. Matthew Brady or his assistants took a ton of photos of them in 1862.

and a reference pic of Dylan

I've been thinking about it and I believe that the drummer might be from the 22nd NY, but again I am away from my library. I'll check tomorrow when I get home.

Joe, The drummer is based on a photograph of Gilbert Marbury, 22nd New York Volunteer Infantry, Company "H". The drum appears to have the standard eagle motif that the typical Union infantry drum had.~Gary

Thanks guys. pF rocks!

I guess a small Historex "H" from their insignia sprue would easily replace the large sculpted one on the belt buckle. None-the-less looks like an interesting figure from a relatively new company.
