I'm appalled with myself that I wasn't aware of these guys and what's worse I hadn't even noticed the lack of black airmen in films.

I have a collector pal whose father flew with the Tuskegee airmen. The Germans were easy; the fight to get into the air was not. Glad THAT is over on both counts.
