Everybody knows this Nuts Planet figure, “Shield Maiden.” No doubt a few examples here on this site (a great subject, after all).

Back when I was still painting miniatures on a regular basis, I did one too. I recently came across these photos again - more than eight years ago now!

Nap, good question. The shield tunics etc were a freehand experiment so maybe not again, but something similar. I still like the hair and axe though. Might have been the first time I used oils over acrylic base colours. All in all still pleased. Of course the sculpt has been around so long now you can see dozens of examples on the Internet so everyone has their "take.'
