I have two "winter German MG gunners" painted up in the cabinet and a couple more in the stash, but I still might pick this up. Nice-looking figure, and the Spanish insignia give it a bit of a twist.

Yeah I would have to agree with the Captain, something is a bit off with this figure.

The painting of the coat is fantastic though.

If there is nothing to rant about in your hobby-life but you feel the urge to comment on PF without racking your brains about accuracy, anatomy, paintwork etc - post on the next WWII- German release :p:D.... but there is hope for all the unhappy posters: US Airborne, Romans, French Imperial Guards, Arnhem Brits, Crimean Brits.and British Scots/Scotish Brits (note the political correctness:D) ....and nobody ever yawns:wacky:
... and finally that one depicts a Spanish -WWII-MG-Gunner fighting for the Germans - a kind of change and not too unusual for a Spanish Company to pick subjects from their own national military heritage

Cheers, Martin

Kinda like the body language and weight shift on this guy - the right shoulder slightly back as the right leg comes forward is a neat little "something" that I think makes this something more unique than "just another German". Might consider this, even though it's not my usual scale - might be easier on the eyes than the 54's I'm squinting at currently:wideyed:...

Hey, everyone has to give it a go sometime
- fair enough - should be valid for other producers likewise and this is the version of Scale 75.
and i got caught out.
....:wacky:
Looking forward to your next release - how about an Ammo Carrier as a companion to your Gunner?:D

Whatever - I rest my case - back to this nice release: IMHO good anatomy and dynamic pose, no inaccuracies (like misplaced fieldbottles;) ...) and a brilliant paint job.(y)
Cheers, Martin

Quite like this release, especially the scale, good animation and well painted, not sure why some have to bag it especially another sculpter. It may not be some's cup of tea but as wev'e seen before this subject matter sells well, I have many german figs/bust's in my collection.
Cheers Les

Hello Martin,
there are always exceptions.
Es gibt immer die ausnahme.

Hello Andi!
if you are talking about exceptions to attach a fieldbottle I can assure you that some ways shown on models are simply impossible and even not practicable - so no seasoned soldier would have ever thought about altering his gear in a way just to get his hip banged by his "noisy" bottle - what would have turned it at the same time into a kind of alarm bell for enemies.
Scale 75 depicts the proper way to strap canteen and fieldbottle to the d-rings and lower lashes of the breadbag - not so many exceptions in the field like Dragon models etc made us believe because that arrangement made perfect sense.
Your German is excellent! Now just repeat in German :D : I will release an even nicer German Ammo Carrier in the next future and never talk about old wine again - just drink it.
Cheers und viele Gruesse!
Martin
