Hi Guys,

Im just asking if anyone is aware of a bust, 1/9 or 1/10 scale, past or present, of trooper, Blues and Royals, minus breastplate?

I have been over to my parent's again today and I have been given a photo of my Uncle Dave on dismounted sentry duty and been asked if I can make a model of him. I am hoping I can save a bit of work and find a donor figure I could convert/resculpt - if not, it looks like Ive got another new sculpt to do!!

Thanks chaps(y)

Can You post a pic Steve.
1950 They would have been Royal Horse Guards ( The Blues) or 1st Dragoon Guards.( The Royals)
Became Blues & Royals 1969

You could probably use the Airfix 1/12 Lifeguard Trumpeter as a basis. I've been thinking of doing a 200mm full size figure, but I doubt there is much of a market.

Ill post the photo once Ive sorted the scanner. He was in the Horse Guards and is in his blue uniform with drawn sword. He later went on to join the City of London Police, Mounted Division.(y)

I seem to remember reading somewhere about the cuirasses/breastplates being handed down and some still being stamped with VR - maybe an urban myth, though...!!(y)
