I did enjoy myself on this figure and my freehand on the shield ain't bad, if I say so myself.
Its a great figure with no clean up and apart from the odd niggle this was enjoyable.
The figure is by art soldiers miniatures from Spain and well worth a look. You can also get it from El Greco miniatures.

Hi Bob

That's a nice figure you've done there , like the fleshwork on him , Including the trophies.

Good work on the cloak as well , nice texture effect

Shield design looks good as well

Enjoyed the SBS https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/75mm-wild-boar-standard-bearer.565610/

Very nice indeed Bob! The shield design is rather great...Regards Pete

Excellent work and fantastic shieldpainting

Thank you all for the kind comments, very much appreciated. Now onto the next but Napoleonic (maybe).

Lovely work, very striking figure. As already said the shield and fleshtones are excellent but I really like the depth and varied colour tones you have in the bronze.

Thanks Rob, yes a lovely figure, the metal colour has a few coats of acrylic ink painted on.

Yeah I saw it on El Greco recently and am considering it for my next order because it reminds me of a Helvetii warrior. The fleshwork scares me a bit though, as I've only done tin suits before.
Nice work, the freehand looks authentic.

Go for it you will not be disappointed, if you can paint a face you can paint all that flesh.
